RADIO
It all began at a small 5000 watt radio station.....
Seriously though, my radio career began at K97 followed by CISN, in Edmonton. Then it was onto Toronto's Q107 at the corner of Yonge and Bloor where I worked as the rock dj, Dusty Shannon. During those years I worked with so many talented people who had such commitment and energy. And I interviewed so many wonderful recording artists; from AC/DC to ZZ Top! Whenever I interviewed wonderful musicians such as Sting, or Bruce Cockburn, or David Bowie I felt assured that there is an important place for artists in our world.
NATIONAL RADIO SHOWS
In the 90's, my partner Greg Mason and I began our own company to produce nationally syndicated radio shows. From daily features, to long-form weekly programs, to one-off specials, our national radio shows were heard on hundreds of stations across Canada and the U.S.
The Parent Report: featured interviews with top physicians, educators, psychologists, and authors sharing their thoughtful parenting tips and research. Currently on stations in Canada and U.S.
@Work: a light-hearted information feature about making the most of our lives at our jobs and the delicate work-life balance @Work was heard across Canada.
Heart to Heart : was a nationally-syndicated show that featured great music and great talk! Psychologist Mark Jackman joined me for fascinating conversations on why we tick the way we do!
Street Corner: was a daily & weekly show on the musicians, producers and players of the Canadian Music Industry.
